ARHEOLOGICAL SITES IN THE MIDDLE DALMATIA

This tour offers you the strangeness of research not too famed area of Trogir and the surrounding hinterland.
Day 1:
We meet in Trogir, the town of happy moment, where we are greeted by professional guide who acquaints us with the details of the itinerary, in order to be prepared for what awaits us in the further pursuit.  Bus will take us to Kastel Luksic, more specifically to the castle Vitturi, where there is a museum in the city castle. We visit the museum, as well as a detailed reference to the area of our research – Mujo cave. Active communication with the curator of the museum create the atmosphere of the game of questions and answers that lead to new knowledge.  Easy stroll through the castle and lunch in the famous tavern Intrada.  Return to the hotel.  Free time.  Overnight.
Day 2:
Breakfast.  Visit the Museum of Trogir, the Cathedral of St. Lawrence, Karmelengo tower, the tower of St. Mark and the church of St. John the Baptist, accompanied by a professional guide.  Drive to Plano. Walk upon Mujina cave. Entry and start exploring the oldest cave that hides the first traces of the presence of Early Man in Dalmatia. Neanderthals lived inside Mujo cave in the period between 45,000 and 39,000 years before our time.  Lunch.  After a well-deserved break, slowly moving toward to another archeological site, near Split – Salona – the ancient capital of the Roman province of Dalmatia. Learning about the size, prosperity and opulence of the ancient city.  Overnight.
Day 3:
Breakfast.  Boarding the ship and easy drive to Split and enjoy the view on Kastela Bay and the city panorama from completely different angle of view. A tour of the old town and Diocletian’s Palace.  A tour of the Archaeological Museum in Split.  Free time.  The boat ride to the beach. Swimming.  Organized dinner in the old Renaissance mills Pantan which are also declared a protected nature reserve!
